Old Age Home Visit (19 March 2010)

On 19 Mar 2010 Pune CSR volunteers visited Kinara Old Age Home to spend time with the aged. There are 17 old persons in the home, some of whom are mentally challenged and bed ridden. Steria volunteers distributed fruits, biscuits to them. A water purifier was donated to the home. Many thanks to all the volunteers - Asit Bhalerao, Dipti Deshmane, Anand Agarwal, Aditi Joshi, Chaitrali Inamdar and Steria appointed teachers Sunita and Ragini for taking time out for this visit. 

NHS/SBS Visit to CSR Project (25 March 2010)

On 25 Mar’10, the team from NHS/SBS - Carl Vincent (Deputy Commercial Director, Department of Health), Ruth Ormsby (Director, Shared Services, Department of Health), Nicholas Hale (KPMG), Shamus Rae (KPMG), John Neilson (Managing Director, NHS SBS), Monica Owen (Marketing Director, NHS SBS) visited Rupeenagar Primary school. Children presented the monthly magazine created by the library club apart from the cultural programmes.  

Teacher Training Program (6 March 2010)

On 6 March 2010 a teaching aids training programme for 60 teachers were organized. Experts from IUKA (Science Dept. of Pune University) conducted the training and explained the various methods of teaching science subject to students with the help of things out of waste like straw, small plastic bottles, CDs, balloons etc. The teachers found this training interesting and promised to make use of it while teaching.
