Fun Day for Sports Winners on 4 March 2010

25 children who had won laurels in various sports events eg. Children's Commonwealth Games 2010, NGO Sports Day - Khel Khel Mein and Inter school and State Karate Competitions were treated to a fun filled day with a trip to Mughal Garden and a visit to Nehru Planetarium. The children enjoyed the walk in the Mughal Gardens and after lunch visited the Nehru Planetarium where they were exposed to the galaxy and the solar system. Later on 17 March’10, during the CFS Client visit to the Junior High School Sector 12 School, these children were presented school bags as a token of appreciation. 

Water Day Celebrations on 22 March 2010

Volunteers from Greenpeace conducted discussions and water relays followed by an Oath to save environment with the children from Junior High School Sector 12 and Prathmik Vidyalaya Sector 22. An exhibition displaying models and posters on water pollution and preservation was also organised for Steria staff in Noida 2 cafeteria on the same day.  

Workshop on 'Women Empowerment' at Gyan Shakti Vidyalaya on 31 March 2010

Ms Kiran Singh from Gender Resource Centre, Delhi conducted a 2 hours workshop for 50 slum women from Chilla Khader, Delhi to create awareness among the women regarding social legislation, legal literacy, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, women health, female infanticide, foeticide, child marriage, importance of literacy, income generation and savings.
