Yoga for Students of Noida School (25 January 2010)

Project ‘Satya Yoga’ initiated in 4 Steria supported schools from Monday, 25 January: Experts from Universal Yoga Group are training over 860 children from 4 Steria supported schools namely Sanskar Kendra School, Yash Memorial School, Prathmik Vidyalaya Sector 22 and Junior High School under project Satya Yoga. The program will continue for 3 months (90 days) and a report on each child’s health and development will be submitted to the CSR champions and schools at the end of the program.

Analysts Visit CSR Project in Noida (15 January 2010)

Analysts’ visit to Sanskar Kendra School on Friday, 15 January: On Friday, 15 January, 25 financial and business analysts along with Francois Enaud and Dr Mukesh Aghi visited Sanskar Kendra School. The children put up a cultural show for the guests with puppetry, dances, karate and songs. This was followed by the distribution of school uniforms to 100 children and refreshments boxes to all the 650 students.

Commonwealth Games for Noida Children (18-22 January 2010)

Over 100 children participated in Children’s Commonwealth Games’2010 league matches for Cricket, Football (for boys) & Kho Kho (for girls) from 18-22 Jan’10 at DDA Playfield, Hauz Khas Delhi. 4 Steria supported projects are participating in this event. Gyan Shakti Vidyalaya and Govt. Co-Ed. Sr. Sec School Girls team have entered the finals of Kho Kho event and Govt. Co-Ed. Sr. Sec School Boys team have entered the finals of Cricket event which will be held in 16-19 Feb’10 in Delhi.  

Steria Scholars Help Extended Staff

Computer Literacy training to an office boy by John & Ravinder Steria Scholars: Chetan Kumar an office boy working with Steria showed interest in learning computers and continue his further studies. Our scholars John & Ravinder are assigned to teach basic computers to Chetan at Rajender Ashram computer centre every week. Also, a volunteer would be assigned to help Chetan in his studies.

Republic Day Celebrations in Noida Schols (26 January 2010)

Republic Day Celebration at Junior High School & Yash Memorial School:  Steria Noida CSR celebrated Republic Day at Junior High School & Yash Memorial School on Tuesday, 26 January 2010. Celebration included Flag Hoisting and performances (yoga, skit, dance, songs and speech) by school children. Many thanks to Ridhi & Shahid (CSR volunteers) for joining children in the celebrations.

NGO Sports Day in Noida - Khel Khel Mein  

Concern India Foundation is organizing a special Sports Day - Khel Khel Mein for the children from various NGOs/Projects. This activity is designed to provide the children with a platform to develop their self-esteem, sporting with each other in a positive & healthy environment. 20 children in the age group of 6-14 yrs from 3 Steria supported projects would be participating in the event on 06 Feb’10. The three projects are Junior High School -12 Noida, Govt. Co-Ed. Sr. Sec. School Delhi, Gyan Shakti Vidyalaya Noida.
