Inauguration of Spain School (12 March 2010)

The computer centre in Steria Spain sponsored school – Govt. Higher Secondary School Nellikupam near Chennai, was inaugurated on 12 Mar’10 by Rodrigo Valenzuela (Spain), and 4 other participants of the Steria Academy. With the lighting of the traditional lamp and cutting of the ribbon for the computer centre, yet another milestone under the One Steria One Country One School programme initiative was achieved with Steria Spain coming on board. Students, teachers and the Headmaster thanked Steria for reaching out to the rural community. 

Steria Academy Visit to Medayakkam School (12 March 2010)

Steria Academy participants visited CFS sponsored Medavakkam High School, Chennai, on 12 Mar’10. After the traditional welcome by the students, a presentation was made by the children in the computer centre on the achievements of the school and the association with Steria. A cultural programme was organized for the guests by the students. The Principal and the teachers expressed their thanks for visiting the school.  

Toy Collection Drive (1 - 31 March 2010)

In partnership with AID India, initiated a ‘Toy Collection’ drive in Steria Chennai office in the month of March. Staff donated two big boxes of toys, apart from stationary materials and drawing books. UISL team of Steria Chennai utilized their gift vouchers won by themselves in the Kite flying competition and bought new toys for the children. Meenakshi (ex-Steria employee), also donated her personal toys for the collection drive. Special thanks to the UISL team, Meenakshi and all staff in Chennai for the wonderful effort.
