Merit Awards distributed in Chennai Schools (Dt of publishing: 30 Aug 2009)
84 students benefited
 Distributed merit awards to the students of Padma Adarsh School, Kelambakkam School, BKM School, Thiruporur Girls School, Thiruporur HS School, Medavakkam and Mambakkam School during the month of August. These awards are given away to these children for outstanding academic performance. 84 students received a cheque for Rs.3000/- each,along with a certificate from Steria.
Fundraising for Manyah (Dt of publishing: 29 Aug 2009)
More than Rs.2.2 lakhs raised
An appeal was sent out to all India staff for help for the treatment of 4 year old Manyah Jethi – a cancer patient and niece of a Steria employee. Noida staff generously contributed a sum of Rs. 194370/- for Manyah. Overall a sum of Rs 218920/- has been raised by the India employees till date for the girl’s treatment.

Artistic Ganeshas on sale for SIFGSS
In Pune, as part of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and ODC 2009, a stall for the sale of small Ganeshas made out of betelnut was put up on the office premises. An amount of Rs.2630 was raised.
