On popular demand, Chatori Gali (street food stalls) was back once again in Noida. Led by Dr.Mukesh Aghi and the senior management team in Noida, the event raised Rs.70,000/- in 2 hours on 22 Oct’09. Tarun Singhal and his team of volunteers organized the event in less than a week time and were able to rope in a number of Airlines to sponsor freebies like round tickets and meal vouchers for the lottery prizes. Special horse rides were organized for the lucky dip winners accompanied by the senior management.

Steria India observed Environment Day as part of the ODC campaign on 21 October. To commemorate this occasion a number of activities like ‘Green Walk’, ‘Environment Exhibition’, ‘Environment Awareness sessions including ‘taking a pledge’ to save Environment was conducted in all 3 locations – Noida, Chennai and Pune.‘Green Walk’ – In Noida, more than 50 Green Agents walked around Sector 1, holding posters, banners along with save environment slogans. In Chennai, more than 100 Green Agents walked in SIPCOT IT Park with banners and save environment slogans. The walk was led by Daman Dev Sood in Noida and S Ram Kumar in Chennai.
All staff members in the Noida, Chennai and Pune took a pledge to save environment apart from participating in the quiz contests. Go Green mugs and saplings were on sale at the sales counters in all the offices in India.
