100 teachers honoured

The Noida CSR Team visited all the projects early September and met the principals and teachers of the schools. As a token of appreciation of their hard work throughout the year the team thanked them with sweets and good wishes. On 4 September, more than 70 Teachers from various Steria supported projects visited Steria office to celebrate Teachers Day. The function started with a welcome note by Daman Dev Sood – CSR Volunteer, followed by screening of the Steria CSR film. Taranpreet Singh also conducted a game of Tambola. This was followed by a Hi tea party hosted by the CSR team. The program ended with a thank you note by Daman Dev Sood to all the attendees. The teachers enjoyed the visit to Steria offices and each of them was given a Steria pen as a small Teacher’s Day present.

In Pune, Teachers Day was celebrated on 5 September’09 in Ganage High School with 35 teachers. Sonali Joshi (volunteer) gave them brief information about the company. Balaji Londhe spoke about career opportunities. Chaitrali Inamdar explained them the importance & scope of CSR in Steria. The program wound up with refreshments.

Flags for sale for SIFGSS

In Chennai, Flag Day was celebrated from 11 to 13 August prior to Independence Day to raise funds for SIFGSS. An amount of Rs.4500/- was raised by selling tricolour badges to Steria employees. In Noida, on Thursday, 13 August’09, 40 children from Junior High School Sec-12 came to Steria offices in N1, N2, N4 and N5 on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations. Children went to all the floors to distribute the national tricolor to all staff as well as to greet them on the occasion of Independence Day. Thereafter, the children put up a small performance comprising of patriotic songs, speeches and dance at the Noida 2 Quadrangle. As a token of appreciation and encouragement the Noida Engagements team presented gifts to each child. Tricolour flags, sold on this occasion helped raise Rs. 700.
